Making the Big Transition: A Theological Strategy for Parenting Teens
 by Steve Wood

Most conscientious parents excel at parenting during the childhood years. This success prompts most parents to keep up the same strategy, or even intensify it, during the pre-teen and teen years. Profound and predictable negative consequences will likely follow the neglect to shift parenting strategies during these transition years.

Steve Wood explains why parents should follow God’s “parenting” pattern with Israel in the history of redemption. This pattern involves a pronounced shift in parenting strategies as a child matures.

This talk explains how parents can successfully shift parenting strategies and help their children fully embrace the Faith as young Catholic adults.

“I truly wish every Catholic parent would listen to this message, at least, three times. It’s that important in order to prevent mountains of headaches and heartaches in the teen years. This message, which was thirty years in the making, focuses on how to form a heart in your child to obey God throughout the teen years and after they leave the nest.

This message may be particularly helpful to conservative Catholic parents and homeschooling parents who often falsely assume that their children will be immune from the struggles of adolescence. “    Steve Wood

Customer Testimony:

"Your website is very nice. I ordered Making the Big Transition: A Theological Strategy for Parenting Teens as an instant MP3 download (great option by-the-way) because as a mother of five I need to make good use of my time. My husband just listened to it and it gave us a lot to think and pray about. Thank you."  --  Patty

    Fast service

The Faith & Family website is very nice. I ordered Making the Big Transition: A Theological Strategy for Parenting Teens as an instant MP3 download (great option by-the-way) because as a mother of five I need to make good use of my time. There was a slight issue with the initial download but when I contact customer service the issue was immediately and courteously resolved. My husband and I both agree the content of the speech was inspiring.
